Rating ⭐⭐⭐/5

This is a bad book, for me. If asked for my favourite book, this one would probably be up there, along with two others. Although it counts as a favourite of mine, I can't help but to think that this book is annoyingly bland.

The main character is boring. It's as simple as that. I would have probably preferred her sister as the mc, but even then, the book could not be saved. Majority of the characters in this story were quite irritating. The main character and her husband were equally as irritating though.

Imagine writing a book about twin sisters who are psychic and fumbling so badly.

I'm sorry, but Kate (the main character), irritated me so much. She was such a boring character. And the distaste she held towards her sister was crazy to me. Violet, her sister, embraced her visions, whereas Kate distanced herself from it.

Following this story from Kate's perspective was mindnumbing and an absolute drag.

Let's not even mention the ending, because it frustrates me so much. And Jeremy, Kate's husband, needed to get off his high horse. Preferably end up injured too.

This book dragged on unnecessarily. The characters' motivations were lacking. Well, that is if there were any motivations to begin with. If I could go back in time to stop myself from reading this book, I'd probably still read it because it was after a hurricane, but I would advise younger me to lower her expectations. This book was a major disappointment to me.
